Congratulations to the following Russellville High School students for earning prizes in each genre category of the RHS Library book nook decorating contest: Senior--Jesminde Hernandez--Romance genre Sophomore--Katherine Alvidrez--Horror genre Junior--Emmalei Blythe--Nonfiction genre Sophomore--Ellie Gjerstad--Mystery genre Senior--Walker Foy--Science Fiction genre Sophomore--Ava Brock--Dystopian genre Senior--Mary Tidwell--Fantasy genre The overall winner of the contest was senior Mary Tidwell for her fantasy genre submission that captured the snowy beauty of Narnia. Each winner received a book in the genre of their entry as well as a book-themed enamel pin and a punch card for five free cappuccinos or hot chocolate drinks from the RHS library. In addition to this small prize, Mary Tidwell also received three more fantasy books to add to her personal library. #ForwardRSD

On November 15, students enrolled in Pre-Educator classes at Russellville High School participated in Educator Rising Competition Region 1 conference at ATU. Seven students placed either 1st or 2nd in their events and will go on to compete at the state competition on March 29th at Arkansas State University.
